Facts of the Universe Experiment Demonstrations

Within the scope of the workshop, it will be tried to raise awareness about the science of physics by performing experiment demonstrations about the laws that are valid in the functioning of nature. In the workshop; Serial experiments will be carried out, giving information on many subjects from Einstein’s world of mind to the mysterious behavior of light, from the concept of magnetic field to the plasma state of matter. At the end of the workshop, the working principle of the telegraph, which is a very important invention in terms of communication technologies, will be explained. Then, a study will be carried out in which each student will make a telegraph model, and the program will be completed with an activity where they can communicate with each other by running it.

Introduction to Quantum Physics with Experiments

Within the scope of the workshop to be organized, a content that will contribute to the intellectual accumulation of the students has been prepared. In the training program, a whole subject has been prepared from the concepts questioned in ancient times about the nature of light, to the discoveries in the middle ages and to the present day. Here, discussions on the history of science and civilization will be made over the science of optics and experimental studies will be carried out. After these experiments, popular topics related to quantum physics will be explained and the course will be completed.

Mysterious World of Chemistry

Within the scope of this workshop, the realities based
on chemistry science in the background of the events we encounter in our daily life will be explained. In the training, which will take place in the form of a specially selected series of experiments, experiments such as burning sugar, artificial snow, black snake experiment, chameleon liquid and chemist’s match will be made. With the demonstration experiments, it is aimed to increase the interest of the students in the science of chemistry, but also to have fun while learning. After the experimental demonstrations, activities such as soap making and perfume making will be carried out so that each student will actively learn the industrial production stages. At the end of the workshop, each student will be presented with a soap and perfume that they produce in special packages.

The World of Particles: Crookes Tube Experiment

A special workshop was designed to explain the discovery of the electron, which is considered one of the most important discoveries in the history of science. This workshop is called the world of particles. The Crookes Tube Experiment setup, which is one of the mechanisms in which the electron is discovered, will be set up to the students and the discovery stages of the electron will be explained live. In addition, scientific developments and theories (Dalton Atomic Model, Bohr Atomic Model, Thomson Atomic Model etc.) until the discovery of the electron will be discussed and the effects of these discoveries on today’s technology will be emphasized. Afterwards, a design workshop will be held and students will be able to make an atomic model using their own imagination. With this activity, the training program will be completed.

Hello to the Microworld

In this workshop, the working principles and historical development processes of microscopes will be explained to the students. After focusing on the importance of examining microorganisms and their effects on the developments in the field of medicine, it will be explained how to examine and research using a microscope. Afterwards, different samples will be examined with the microscope using the preparations. The workshop will be completed with drawings of the observations made.

Extraordinary System : Human

In this study, organs that work in an extraordinary harmony so that living things can survive will be discussed. After giving detailed information about the working systems of organs, what should be considered for heart, kidney, brain and eye health will be explained. Afterwards, 4 different organ dissections obtained from the offal maker will be performed together with the participating students, so that they can get to know the organs closely. This program offers students who want to study medicine to test their interests.

With today’s technology, the dynamics of education are also changing, and it is important for students to develop themselves in different fields. We see that 3D printers, whose popularity has been increasing recently, have taken their place in educational environments and we know that they support the productivity of students. The content of the industrial design workshop has been prepared in order to introduce this technology to the students and to convey the basic information necessary for its active use in production processes. In this context, 3D design programs will be introduced to students and basic usage training will be given. Then, object designs will be made in groups and 3D texts will be printed. Prepared objects will be presented to students. In addition, within the scope of the training program, a presentation will be made about the laser cutting device, which is widely used in project and prototype preparations, and its working principle will be explained. Each student participating in the program will be presented with a key chain laser cutter of their own design.

Within the scope of the workshop, basic information about robotic coding and robotic systems will be given. Tools and platforms where they can improve themselves will be introduced for students who are interested in this field. After the basic electronic circuit elements are introduced, radio production will be carried out with the sets to be distributed to the students. The functions of the electronic elements used in the study where each student will make their own radio will be explained. In addition, the assembly of the circuit elements and their workmanship such as soldering will be done by the participants under the supervision of the guides. After the radio production is completed, the robot construction activity will begin after the break. In this study, it is aimed to develop students’ manual skills and gain experience in the integration of parts of a working system. At the end of the activity, each student will have their own working little robot toy.

In this event, participants will be informed about architecture and how architecture benefits from basic sciences. After the presentation, which includes brief information about the history and features of world-famous architectural structures, the students will be divided into groups. Students will be offered the option of working with two different materials, wood and stonework, and the construction of 4 different architectural structures will be provided. In this study, it is aimed to improve the friendship relations of the students by doing group work and to contribute to the development of their hand skills and imagination.

Within the scope of the training program, conversation activities on history, civilization and values will be held with the participation of expert trainers, accompanied by refreshments on some evenings in the school garden.
